Where is the Saray district?

The neighbourhood sits in central Alanya, north of the Red Tower and harbour line, connected directly to the main streets. Its defining feature is that the castle road, the bazaar and the seafront are all within walking distance.

What is nearby?

Alanya Castle and the Red Tower: reachable on foot or with a short drive.
The bazaar and market streets: daily shopping, nut sellers, tailors and small traders.
The seafront: Cleopatra Beach and the harbour are both walkable.
Restaurants and cafés: most of the centre's eating and drinking sits in this area.

Getting around

Because it is central, most dolmuş (minibus) routes pass through. If you are coming from the hotel belt, the seafront minibuses are the most practical option. Driving in the evening means tight parking — using a central car park and walking is usually faster.

The rhythm of the neighbourhood

Saray is commercial by day and social by night. Midday belongs to shopkeepers; after 20:00 the cafés and restaurants take over. In summer that activity runs until midnight.
